Robert D. McKelvey, Jr. Intro Page and Mini Photo Album Album Page 001
My History and Ancestry:
Hi, my name is Robert D. McKelvey, Jr. I live in Port St. John,
Fl. I was born in Orrville, Ohio, Wayne County, on January 29, 1953.
My parents moved my brother and sisters to Florida when I was about
2 or 3 years old. We lived in Tampa, Brooksville, Bayport,
and finally, Dade City where we all grew up. Also,
in Dade City, my father opened a television sales
and repair business till his death in January of 1984 called
Superior Electronics, Inc. The corporation was dissolved
in 1984. My brother Mike is still operating the business
under a new name.
Here is my latest picture!
I guess I can't keep up with keeping a current picture posted!

And here's
a picture when I worked at our television sales and service business, Superior Electronics, Inc, in 1975, opened up my my father.
In 1984, it lost it's corporation status, and the corporated name has
been re-incorporated by
another business family, in New Port Richey, Florida.
My brother, Mike, however, is still running our own business, still
able to be called Superior Electronics, but not Incorporated!
I worked there from 1965-1979.
In 1979, I moved to Ohio, and then got a job working for Smyth Business Systems, Inc. in North Canton, Ohio. I lived there for about 4 years. I did get to meet some of my grandparents relatives, during this time. I have traveled to Pennsyvlania, to meet the Croskey and Shilling relatives. And of course, many other Croskey relatives in Ohio. In 1983, dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. I returned to Florida, and helped mother out with taking care of him, and trying to work again with Mike at our business. I was interested in computers, and so I moved to Orlando, where I got a job with International Cash Register, Co. I was a field technician, repairing and programming electronic and computer type cash registers. I worked there from Oct 1984 to July 1994. I moved to Melbourne, where ICR opened a sub-office, where I worked from running service calls in Brevard County. I, later, moved to Port St. John, Florida, north of Melbourne, and between Titusville, and Cocoa, Florida.
And now meet my parents!
