The Tower Rock formation, near Great Falls, is said to be a site from which Lewis and Clark marveled at the "pleasing view...of immense herds of buffaloe" in 1805.
Thanks to a couple of citizens' quick thinking, action, cooperation and appreciation for Montana's historically valuable attributes, the land was withdrawn from a Department of Transportation auction.
There are some thoughts about what should be done with the formation of rock; leave it as it's been for centuries, turn it into a natural-access tourist site, develope it as a full-fledged tourist attraction replete with handicap access and who knows what countless other plans might be dreamed up before the onslaught of tourists who will come to observe the bicentennial of the Lewis & Clark exploration.

What do you think should be done with this parcel of land?
