Great Falls Housing Authority is an independent Authority with seven members appointed by
the City Commission. Five members serve a five year term and two tenant members serve a two
year term. One tenant member represents family residents and one tenant member represents
the elderly and handicapped residents. The Authority is concerned with providing safe,
decent and affordable housing to low income citizens of Great Falls. The Authority owns and
operates 490 units of public housing within the community. The Authority also serves as the
Loan Committee for various low income housing loan programs administered by the City.
Authority members with expertise in the following areas are desired; legal, architectural,
real estate, engineering, financial, clergy or social work.
