Value: A very good, complete, original, unretouched example with well dulled paint, 25% plus paint loss, decals excellent, no box, sold on eBay for $194 USD in mid December 2007.

In 1961, Tonka manufactured this wrecker for Standard Oil. The story goes it was available at
Amoco gas stations and sold to patrons who purchased a battery

Note the cord attached to the hook. This truck is mint and unretouched. Many restored Standard Oil
wreckers use chain. Thanks to Richard Gresh for the history. This example is from the Skip Erb
collection
