Neat Old Toys Logo Tonka Toy Trucks Not Just for Kids Anymore

Beginning in the early 1950's, Tonka took standard, current year, production trucks, added customer specified paint colors, graphics and in many instances, unique packaging and viola, a private label Tonka truck. If one were to define a private lable truck, as presented here, it might be: the trucks were only available through a specific customer; the trucks were not featured in any Tonka dealer catalog and therefore not sold at typical toy outlets. Because records were not maintained by Tonka, exact production quantities are unknown. It is known, however, the production quantities were substantially less than typical mass produced Tonka trucks. Tonka private label trucks can command very high prices in the collector market. They are not collected by your average Tonka enthusiast. Featured are the classic Tonka private label trucks manufactured from the early 1950's through 1970.

I do collect Tonka trucks but the private label variety are out of my reach. Therefore, I must depend on fellow Tonka enthusiasts for support. If you own a private label Tonka that is not featured, email me. I would like nothing more than to feature your truck on this website.

Tonka also manufactured private label box vans, metro vans, wreckers, pickups, etc. Manufactured quantities were still substantially less than the mass produced models.
