MSNBC News Services - March 11, 2004. MADRID, Spain - Ten powerful explosions rocked three Madrid train stations Thursday just days before Spain's general elections, killing at least 173 rush-hour commuters and injuring more than 600 others.
El Periodico.com - 12 March 2004 - AGENCIES Madrid. -- a total of 199 people has passed away as a result of the terrorist attacks committed yesterday in Madrid, and 1,463 people have been with diverse types of injuries and wounds, 37 of them in critical state, according to official data facilitated this morning by the vice-president first of the Community of Madrid, Ignacio González, that has appeared in press conference with the vice-president second and advisory of Justice and Interior, Alfredo Prada, and the advisor of Health, Manuel Lamela.
