I am a 44 year old reunited birthmother. My daughter and I have been reunited for 4 years this November. I started searching for her in 1995 and found her almost immediately. She is now 28 years old.

My daughter was able to get her original birth certificate from the courts in 1997 by simply appearing in front of the Judge in the court her adoption was finalized through, Barnstable Court. I feel that every adoptee should have access to their original birth certificate and all of their medical history.

I know, for a fact, that my non-id info package contained many falsehoods about our health history, PLUS, how much health history is their when the Mom is only 16 (like me) or 18, or 20, when they have given birth to this child?

I would like to do my part to help with this campaign. I have run a support group in Massachusetts for over two years where all members of the adoption triad are welcome and have taken part in our little group. I have wonderful searcher if someone in my support group needs one who is truly a miracle worker and has helped many people find their lost family members.
