Hello. My name is Linda and I am a reunited adult adoptee. I began searching for my birthfamily almost 10 years ago and finally found them last fall and winter. While I was searching, I became more and more incensed at the lack of information allowed to me in my search for my roots and medical history. This anger soon became a righteous indignation that I began to broadcast to the world via local newspapers.
Soon, Ann Wilmer, the national coordinator for Green Ribbon Campaign, approached me about possibly becoming the coordinator for the fight in Illinois. Although I am a mother of 5 (3 step children and 2 natural children), hold a part time job and home school 2 of our 5 children, my family and I decided that this was definitely something I needed to do. So, with the help and understanding of my family, I make the time to work towards open records in Illinois on a daily basis as I don't believe we, as members of the triad, should be considered second-class citizens.
If you would like to join us in our fight, please scroll down this page to the contact us button and let us know about you. I will promptly reply to any and all email sent to me via our contact form.
