I recieved the following letters and was given permission to post them here for your enjoyment and as a tribute. I wish to extend our thanks to Phil for allowing us to do this.
Dear Beth
A few years ago my wife found her birth mother. I believe it was from your registry. Her mother was 73 years old and my wife was 50 years old when they met for the first time. Many people give up when the going gets tough. I honestly did not believe it was possible. I co write songs with a company out of Nashville called Nashville Song Service. We did a demo to capture that moment in my wife's life when she would meet her mother for the first time. They gave me permission to post the story and song on myspace. Maybe it will give others hope never to give up. There is also a picture there of there 50 year reunion under pics. Go to: www.myspace.com/nasvillesongservicewrittenbyphilipschwebs. The name of the song is The Shining Star. Scroll down the page to the story . I have another story there as well.
Thank You Sincerely Philip Schwebs
Go ahead if you like and put it on your registry. I am hoping that a country artist will record the song and reach out nationally. Maybe a country artist who was adopted. The more people that hear it the better chance it will catch someone's attention. I will let you know when that happens.
