![]()
This is a condensed version of my adoption story. My name, when I was born, was Marbeth Ann Martin and I was born September 17, 1953 to Marlene Elizabeth & Harry Martin. I was born in Pottstown, Chester County, Pennsylvania. I have a younger sister whose name at birth was Diane Lee Martin, born Feb 11, 1955, and a younger brother whose name was Harry David Martin, born Jan 17, 1957. When I was just under 4 years of age, my brother was put into a foster home and adopted within a year. My sister and I were place in The Lutheran Children's Home which was located in Topton, Pennsylvania. We were placed into the same home where we would eventually be adopted by in 1961. We were raised knowing our birth-grandmother and visiting with her whenever it was possible.
