Author notes from Mia: This is an AU fic with basically one minor and one major change from the original continuity. The minor change will be obvious by the third paragraph; the major change will only be apparent later. There are two pairings in this fanfic - one will be B/V, but the other I'm not going to give away just yet. It's a non-canon pairing, but with canon characters, yet it doesn't break up any canon pairings. And that's all I will say.
