This is a reproduction of an illumination
from Book of Hours of Antoine de Navarre, 15th century.
I used guache on pressed cotton paper.
The center piece is edged in gold leafing,
as is the bold letter "D" and the accompanying
blue/red vine borders. Several of the flowers
are also highlighted with gold leaf.
