Cats and Birds

This is another original of mine.
I like the vines and lines of the dutch illuminations.
Some people consider them "busy", but I think of them
as having more to admire! This is a playful theme with
several cats at the bottom, and birds scattered throughout.
One cat is chasing it's tail (bottom left), one is jumping
at a buterfly, and another is just sitting and looking up.
The upper right will be home to a large peacock. The dagged
border of the overall illumination will be embellished with
small "beads" which will be gold leafed. The center square
will be outlined in gold leafing along with numerous small
features throughout the illumination. This will be completed
sometime in August.

This is guache on 40wt, fine texture water color paper.
