HALL OF "STUFF"

This is where I'll showcase everything
but the helms and weapons that I make. Some
of this is my own armour, most is for other people.
Since these are somewhat in chronological order, the
quality should be increasing as you go down the list.
Feel free to email me and let me know what you
like/dislike or would change.

Gorget- dog collar style. 18 ga mild steel over oil tanned latigo leather. Comfortable and protective. Takes about an hour to make.
Here's my gorget. It's 18 ga SS over leather. The leather is blue full grain glued down over 8 oz latigo. It's very comfortable...for a gorget! I've had several requests for one of these, just not in blue.
And of course, my basket hilts. For here in Ansteorra, I have a "cut out" version that allows your wrist to bend over quite a bit more than standard hilts. The ones here are offset a little to allow for the same movement, but are legal in all kingdoms. I also do a nice looking shield hilt.
Here's my first pair of guantlets. These are from 18-16 ga stainless. The finger and wrist section turned out great. The back of the hand needs a bit more work. the next pair should be quite a bit better. these were made in one night (almost all night) in order to be used at an event the next morning!
Here's my knees in progress. They're missing one lame on each. They'll be attached to studded navy blue oil-tanned leather with splints on the inside and will have matching elbows and vambraces. (boy, my loaner gear pile is getting bigger!)These are stainless 14th century rondel style.
Here's a pair of 14th century knees made for a fighter in Chicago. These are 316 SS, flared on the edges and crested down the center.
Here's a pair of pauldrons for William up in An Tir.
Here's some more rondel stuff. These turned out really nice. Made of 316 SS with brass rivets.
Yet again...more rondel stuff! These are 316 SS. 16 ga splints over 8oz oil tanned leather. I wasn't completely happy with the overall movement, but I'm working on correcting it for future products.
Here's the ones from above, but reworked. The rondel, vambrace and rearbrace were removed and attached to new elbow cops/lames.
Here's onr of my favorites. A SS elbow with etched brass trim. It was eventually added to splinted vambraces and rerebraces. Splints on the inside with brass rivets and 8 oz black oil tanned leather. I took 35mm pics of the whole thing. When I get them developed, I'll post them. The second pic is how they were icorporated into some splinted armour. The vambrace/rearbrace sections are 8oz oil tanned leather with SS splints on the inside and a lining of 4 oz oil tanned leather. These are the most comfortable arms I've ever worn! I'll definitely be making more!

A set of 316 SS spaulders with brass rivets, articulated on three leathers.
More spaulders. these are larger and cover a bit more of the armpit/shoulderblade area. A set of 316 SS spaulders with brass rivets, articulated on three leathers.
A set of 13th century elbows and knees, mild steel, brushed finish.
Here's a pair of splinted upper legs (Note: I did not make the knees for this) I made. These are 16 ga, 316 Stainless splints inside of 6/8 oz oil tanned leather. The portion that wraps around the side and back of the thigh is two layers of 8 oz oil tanned leather with no steel splints. It protects great and is flexible in all directions this way.
LEGS 3
These are a pair of 5-piece knees made for Morgan up in Steppes, Ansteorra. They were made from type 316 SS and have just enough brass added to stand out. They are also file worked along the edges of the cops and lames as well as roped along the lowest edge.
