History of the Clan

For centuries, the Berylstar Clan has been a wandering group of families whose number has varied from as few as only a handful of families, to as many as thirty or so. Like many clans, there have been groups to splinter and form their own clans, as well as smaller groups that have merged with the Berylstars, increasing the numbers.

During their travels, the members of the Berylstar clan have provided numerous services for those they have encountered. Primarily, the clan has prided itself on its talented entertainers. Each family provides the clan with some necessary service, while many also bear the skills of artisans, musicians, dramatists, as well as myriad other talents.

In the recent past, the clan visited a small village known as Autumn Glen, that nestled in the valley between a pair of peaks in the Gangris Mountains. Upon arriving in this village, it was immediately evident this was a town in need of the specialized services of the Berylstar clan! The inhabitants of Autumn Glen were a dour lot, grim being the best term to describe them. While not welcoming the Gypsy clan into their midst, they did not drive them away either. And so, the Berylstars set up their camp and prepared to dazzle the villagers with their skills, not to mention the less publicized skills that were to be employed that evening.

It was a terrible night, full of chaos and fear. What horrors were seen few are able to repeat. Of the strong Berylstar clan, most were destroyed outright. The rest followed the survival instinct of the breed and fled wherever they could find safety. Between the scattered flight of the living, and the spirits who resurrected in circles all over Tyrra, the Berylstar clan found itself broken and dispersed among the many lands. It is unknown how many of the clan may have met their permanent death that night, but the living hold hope in their hearts. The ragged survivors now search the lands for others of their kin, hoping to reunite the remains of the once proud clan and reclaim their heritage.

• 574: Galena born to Galax and Andaluse. She is the seventh child of Galax, third child of Andaluse.
• 576: Twin sons Lar and Aegiryn born to Porthian and Kirie Fallowfield.
• 579: Kyan born He is the first child of Emmeron and only child of Opal.
• 583: Diamante born to Dolomy and Emmeron, called Dia for short. Kaolia born to Emmeron and Pyri.
• 596: Galena and Aegiryn are married in the summer.
• 597:
  • March - Massacre of Autumn Glen. Those who resurrect are in far-flung circles across Tyrra. Uncertain as to who may have taken a permanent death, but it is rumored the Bandolier Abraxis has taken his.
  • August - Only a few Berylstars have gathered together again. Still no sign of Abraxis, and as such a new bandolier is needed to lead those who remain. Galena inherits the position as the granddaughter of Abraxis.
  • October - Aegiryn and Galena travel to Ashton to establish a stationary base for contacting and gathering other members of the clan. They establish the Garnet Griffin tavern. Galena's brothers Corund and Eryth continue to travel the realm in search of other clan members.
• 598:
  • February - Aegiryn and Galena travel to Vargus where Lar lives. Establish the Jasper Jaguar tavern together with Lar Fallowfield. Galena's brother Fluorian Berylstar takes up residence with Lar to serve as brew master for the tavern in Vargus.
  • March - Kyan is rediscovered in Elysia, and brought back to Dyllaria to rejoin the clan.
  • June - Kyan finds Dia and bring her to Ashton to join Aegiryn and Galena. The Berylstars enter into a trade alliance with the Happy Hamster. This is the earliest beginning to Merchant House Berylstar.
  • October - Rumors begin circulating that Abraxis is still alive, and traveling with his dwarven friend and honorary member of the Fallowfield clan: Wolfram Gnadenhuten. Without confirmation, Galena remains undisputed bandolier of the clan until Abraxis should return to resume his position.
  • December - Aegiryn, Galena and Kyan travel to Rockcrusher Forge (then River's End). The Chaos Lord Vinlar was released from his prison in the tree outside of the tavern late Saturday night.
• 599:
  • February - At a festival in Elysia, Amethyst Berylstar is discovered, but is called Domremy. She returns to Dyllaria to the clan.
  • April - Aegiryn and Dia travel to Rockcrusher Forge (then River's End) while Galena is in Vargus delivering Lar's second child.
  • June - Aegiryn, Galena and Kyan travel to Lumberton Shire for the first time. Elementals from the four key planes attack all weekend, with random portals opening everywhere. Including the Celestial circle. The townspeople are enlisted by a light elemental to help it against a shadow elemental. The town is also enlisted by said shadow being to help it against said Light being.
  • July - Aegiryn, Galena, Kyan and Dia travel to the Forest of Myst. Rahl Weaponsmith joins House Berylstar as does Jenner the Ferret. The clan helps a pair of Fae spirits end an age old family love struggle.
  • August - Sally Mandrake is race changed in Ashton and becomes Mica Berylstar
• 600:
  • January - Several of the younger members of the Berylstar clan are discovered in the rebuilt Helmwood: Kaolia, Pyrius, Christo, Sapphire. Marriage of Sapphire Berylstar to Fluffy.
  • February: More of the clan members are found near Helmwood: Draven
  • March - Members of the clan are found in the town of Lumberton Shire: Zoe, Zira, Azuri, Silverness, Jacinth.
  • April - Galena announces she is expecting the birth of the first Berylstar since the clan's resurgence.
  • May - Malikie Sindorf, longtime friend to Aegiryn and Galena, is invited to become an honorary member of the clan.
  • June - Marriages of Kaolia Berylstar to Bandolier Vladimir Romanov and of Dia Berylstar to Reesie Damashay. Death of Sapphire's husband Fluffy. Christo and Kaolia aid in the gathering of the components needed to return an ancient and dangerous dragon to sleep, while Mica, Aegiryn and Corwin the Baker cast the ritual to return the dragon to its slumber.
  • September - Kaolia travels to Avendale in the company of Galena's brother Corund.
  • October - Galena and Aegiryn travel with Jacinth to the Gandel Valley to perform research with the Cyclopes and to await the birth of Galena's child.
  • December - Ulexi born to Galena and Aegiryn.
• 601:
  • February - The Clan aid the Gandelien Cyclopes with some slaver problems. They are rewarded with a shard of the fabled Gandelien crystal.
  • March - Marriage of Silverness Berylstar and Malikie Sindorf, thus bringing Malikie into the clan officially.

  • May - Christo receives a spirit forge from Phenom and is now a Sorcerer

  • August - Fiona Ravendale undergoes her race change to gypsy and maries Mica becoming a Berylstar. Fooz opens a portal to the plain of air and Aegiryn, Malikie, and Calyn along with nearly the rest of the town assault the plain in order to obtain some object for a Stone Elemental in return for its help in recovering the Traveler's Stone. Fooz Coalbaron becomes a didiki, an honorary member of clan Berylstar.
