Mackie's Sentinel Fanfiction

Last Updated: 13 April 2002 - Reloaded Conversations. It's at my Works in Progress page linked from the bottom of this page.

Updated: 4 August 2001 - Added 3 snippets that previously appeared on the SentinelAngst List, Blair 2K, Dismal in Cascade, and Momentary Glitch.

Disclaimer: The Sentinel and all its trimmings belong to Pet Fly Productions and Paramount. No copyright infringement is intended. This is all just fun, folks...

Stand-Alone Stories:

Blair 2K - It's New Year's Eve, and everyone is stuck on duty, even a lowly police observer who can't seem to stay out of trouble no matter what!

Dismal in Cascade - A fairly pointless, plotless snippet involving Blair and an icy hill.

Momentary Glitch - A bomb goes off in Major Crime.

Blank Page - An virtual episode for Faux Paws Productions Virtual Season 6. While investigating two unrelated homicides, Blair learns a valuable lesson in the politics of justice.

The Janus Effect - Co-authored with Hephaistos. A virtual episode for Black Panther Productions. While investigating a series of violent home invasions, Sandburg starts to exhibit very un-Sandburg like behavior.

The Kindness of Strangers - Co-authored with Hephaistos. A virtual episode for Faux Paws Productions Virtual Season 5. Every season must have its obligatory "In the Woods" episode. This is the one we did for FPP!

Deal's Way - Co-authored with Gina Martin. A virtual episode for Faux Paws Productions Virtual Season 5. Vince Deal is up to his neck in trouble on the set of his new television movie.

Bad Things - A themefic written for our listsib, Lucy Rafebabe.

High Rise - A little Blairpain for Shellie's birthday! Rated PG.

Close Calls - A missing scene for The Waiting Room. Rated PG.

Firestorm (genfic auction story) - Jim and Blair are targeted by a gang of thrill-seeking killers. Rated R for violence.

Part One
Part Two

Unexpected Fluff (a Christmas story) - Blair's plan to infuse Jim with the Christmas spirit goes awry when the power goes out. Rated G

Kissing Ms. Hargrove (sort of a sequel to For Sale:...) - Blair, a kissing booth, and the matriarch of Hargrove Hall. Rated G.

Some Days Are Better Than Others (written with Shellie Williams) - A h/c extravaganza when Jim and Blair are trapped in a warehouse by a gang of thugs. Rated R for violence.

Ice (Response to Jen and Suzie's "Holiday" Challenge) - Jim hears voices plotting a murder, but is he really hearing voices from two decades past? Rated PG13.

Oath (Response to "Jim-in-Uniform" Challenge) - Blair walks in on Jim and sees a side of his loftmate he never anticipated. Rated G.

The Beanie Bandito - The duo is assigned a case involving the theft of pricey collectibles. High silliness factor. Rated PG for minor language and (very) minor violence.

Toad-al Response (Response to "Toad-in-the-Toidy" Challenge) - Too weird to describe. Rated G.

Recovery (epilog to Sentinel Too) - Rated PG-13 (Note: This was supposed to be a one-shot, standalone epilog with a happy ending. It didn't turn out that way. You've been warned.)

Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four (Conclusion)

Convergence (epilog to The Girl Next Door) - Rated PG.

Touch Therapy - One of those short pieces that invade your thoughts without warning. Blair gets a lesson is crime-scene etiquette. Rated G

Epilog: The Rig - A musing with some spoilers for the episode. Rated PG-13 (does morbid count?)

For Sale: One Slightly (Mis)Used Anthropologist (Fully Assembled, Accessories Included) - Blair gets "sold" at a fund-raising auction. Rated G.

Explosive Consequences - Mary Sue Alert. Jim is attracted to his new neighbor, but she has a secret that could get him killed. Rated PG.

Layers of Dark and Light (epilog to Prisoner X) - Rated PG.

Crossovers:

Destinies Entwined (The Sentinel/Kung Fu: The Legend Continues) - Blair is poisoned as part of a Chinese crime lord's plan to set up shop in Cascade. Warning: High angst rating. Posted in two parts due to length. Rated R.

Two West to Waikiki (The Sentinel/One West Waikiki/Marker) - A vacation in Hawaii results in a case of mistaken identity, a kidnapping, and Blair finding himself with a new partner. Rated PG.

Aloha, Cascade (The Sentinel/Hawaii Five-0/One West Waikiki) - Response to "Crossover" Challenge, the story is on Gina's Solo Sojourns page. A layover in Cascade puts the Governor of Hawaii, Dan Williams, in the middle of a shootout. Be sure to use your "back" button if you want to return to Idol Pursuits.

Of Shadows and Demons (The Sentinel/Buffy the Vampire Slayer) - Blair visits a dig near Sunnydale, but soon finds himself embroiled in a conflict literally to save the world from destruction. Rated R for violence. (If you don't want to re-read the first half, here's the second half)

Interlude: Consumed by the Fire - Follows Of Shadows and Demons. Rated R for violence and strong emotional content.

Untitled (The Sentinel/Stargate SG-1) - Well, I'm going to try.

Episodes of Synchronicity (The Sentinel/Crow: Stairway to Heaven/X-Files/Early Edition) - Jim and Blair get some unusual help in thwarting the escape of a well-known terrorist. Rated PG-13 for violence and mild language.

The Sentinel: Evolution - An alternate-universe series. It's best to read these in the order listed...

Revelations - Jim reunites with his brother after fifteen years and learns there's more to being a Sentinel than five heightened senses. Rate PG-13.

Elevation - A camping trip turns ugly when Jim and Blair encounter a gang of bank robbers hiding out in the forest. Rated R for violence.

Untitled - Rated R for violence.

Untitled - Rated PG-13 (I think).

The Remote Control Series: I've taken some license with canon, but not enough to be AU. For instance, I give Jim a bathroom of his own (after almost three years, I can't imagine he's still willing to share). I also wrecked the blue-and-white pickup. The first four stories follow a time-line, although each is complete within itself.

Remote Control - Blair is kidnapped by an old enemy of Jim's. Rated R for violence and verbal content.

Interlude 1 - White Zone - An aftermath short from Remote Control. Jim recounts a nightmare resulting from a weird zone-out. Rated PG.

Blind Sided - Sequel to Remote Control. Jim learns that no matter how much he wants to protect Blair, he can't control his senses on his own. Rated PG.

Splinters - A sequel to Blind Sided. Blair is accused of murder as part of an elaborate scheme to isolate Sentinel and Guide for a billionaire's research project. Rated PG-13

Transitions (an epilog or missing scene for every episode in order of airdate!)

Note: For an added bit of weirdness, I'll be adding some "missing scenes" to some of my own stories. I call them 'Interludes'. They might be scenes that detracted from the flow of the story from which they're derived, or they might be introspective musings. Enjoy!

My Works in Progress now have their own page, to give you an extra moment to decide if you really want to go there and read something that may not be finished for weeks, months...maybe years(?!)
