Welcome to the Newington Challenger Home Page!
Welcome back everyone! Here it is snowing outside and already we are thinking about baseball. Let’s hope the warm weather will be here soon to warm up the ground and get that green grass growing again. This year we have 10 returning players, plus Jodi and Connor who have played with us in previous years will also be on our team again. In addition we have a new player, Patrick from Wethersfield joining our team. If you know anyone who has not signed up but would like to join the team, just have them give me a call.
Team Shirts and Caps- Players will be receiving a new shirt and baseball cap. The league purchasing agent and I are still in the process of deciding on shirts. We are not sure if players will be receiving the same type t-shirts again or another type shirt. The shirts should be ready by opening day and I hope to distribute them at one of our scheduled practices.
Practice- Practice will be held Wednesday April 7th and on Wednesday April 14th at Volunteer Field at 5:15. Please bring your baseball glove with your name on it.

You will notice some changes to this web site. We now
have a Player News page. On this page you will
be able to read and submit any news relating to our players
(and families), such as school and civic events, birthdays,
graduations or anything that we all may be interested in.
We will also have an alumni section where we can keep track
of the milestones of any past player.
Also, due to limitations in bandwidth allowed by the web site hosting company, we are forced to remove some of our photos. From now on, we will keep, on line, pictures from this year as well as last. Pictures older than that will soon be deleted. So, if you would like to download and save any of the old pictures, you should do it soon.If you are unsure of how to do this, you can e-mail Paul Jagielski for instructions.
