Welcome to the AHRMA Northwest web site
This web site is a supplement to the main AHRMA
web site, AHRMA OnLine. This site will expand on the AHRMA Vintage moto-cross
& trials calendar for the Northwest region, (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Northern
Nevada, and Mid to Northern California). Each event listed in the calendar sections
features a link to an expanded information page. These pages will include contacts,
directions/maps to the tracks, area lodging, and other information. This web site will
also feature pictures of the people and the machines that make the AHRMA Northwest region
great!

Get Well Willy!
Get well wishes go out to AHRMA NW competitor CZ Willy Brown who on the
verge of a Novation Racing Lumberjack title in the 60+ Intermediate class crashed and
broke his arm in at the last round at the Bushey Ranch. We hear Willy is already chomping
at the bit to get riding again but will have to wait till mid January
Willy still wins the award for "Best Vintage Upper Body Gear /
Most Original CZ Raced" in the 2009 Novation Lumberjack Series,
(AKA the coveted "BVUBG/MOCZR" Award)

First turn action from the last AHRMA NW event of 2009 at the Bushey Ranch near Canby CA
December N.W. Coordinator Report
By Dick Mann
(From the upcoming December Vintage Views, maybe)
The Cycle Gear N.W.VMX season and Powroll/Redwood Engineering trial
season was completed a week ago at Bushey Ranch in Canby CA. It was a great event on which
to end a successful season. The trial on Saturday was said, by several riders, to be the
best AHRMA trial they had ridden.
On Sunday, 123 riders waited patiently for the fog to lift. The sun quickly turned the
frosty field into a track with great traction. All VMX classes were represented with close
races in all motos.
The Bushey family was a great host and are looking forward to our return next year. It is
planned that the event will be earlier in the season in 2010. We are aware how lucky we
were with the weather.
The Cycle Gear NW Region and the Lumberjack series for 2010 are a work in progress.
The Cycle Gear NW Region Awards banquet is scheduled for Jan. 16. George Gerstenberg, from
our generous sponsor, Cycle Gear and Steve Miralgia, whos company is catering the
event, are our hosts. It is at the Civic Park Community Center in Walnut Creek, CA. Please
see the ad in this issue. Both George and Steve are active AHRMA competitors and are
working hard on this banquet. Please come out and support this celebration of the 2009
series champions.
Last but not least, thanks to all the volunteers, promoters and sponsors who made this
such a great year. It could not be done without you.
Will ESS be back in 2010?
