The 3rd Annual
Brad Lackey Nor-Cal Classic
Sand Hill Ranch, March 14-16, 2008

(Thanks to John Fourcroy for pictures and report from Saturday's action)

I don't know the attendance figures but I guess over 300 entry on Saturday.

Great technical track
The track contained many elevation changes and technical sections, especially the uphill S-curved trail riding section at the end of a long straight...

Great weather
It was raining heavily 10 miles away, yet we only had cool weather and puffy intermittent clouds and sunshine

Great Party/BBQ afterwards
Word is that Brad and the Richmond Ramblers are going to outdo Diamond Don! After the trophies were passed out we were pointed to the Barn and a huge Mess Tent. I haven't been to Diamond Don's but the food was great... In the Mess tent we were treated to BBQ tri-tip, Sausage, Chicken, great oven fried potato strips and plenty to drink... Outside the Bonfire really warmed us and brought everyone together...

In the Barn we ate dinner while visiting and listening to a great Band. They played country and a little rock. It was great. I was sorry my wife didn't attend because it would have been fun to dance! I'll definitely bring her along next year.

I think we should always have the races on Saturday, followed by a BBQ to bring us altogether. Thanks to the Sand Hill Crew, the Ramblers, and Brad for putting on a spectacular weekend.

With everybody looking at it this Cooper it might have won some kind of award?
